Throughout her life Chiara has been intuitively fascinated with the connection between the Cosmos and skincare, as she has always been a lover of nature with extremely fair skin.

In her mid 40's, after a series of traumatic events, Chiara's skin began reacting to almost all products containing chemicals. The experience became anxiety inducing and isolating, so she took time off to perform a deep dive and assess the cause.

 

This profound time involved the reading of a new library of books, absorbing podcasts and docu-series on spirituality, healing, consciousness, indigenous ritualistic practices, Astrology, divination and quantum physics. Chiara also partook in group work lead by a beloved shaman in Big Sur and took up creative experimentation with music. With this hermetic "upeeling", she came to the conclusion that her nervous system was severely compromised due to decades of compounded stress; primarily the result of suppressing her needs in order to obey the laws of social conditioning.

 

She traveled extensively between the U.S. and France during this time and noted that France was helping calm her nervous system as well, hence she began to research why. She began studying the labels of French mineral water and foods and noted that they contained essential minerals and nutrients compared to the devoid food and water in the U.S. In addition to the spiritual and psychological blind spots she was healing, Chiara realized she also had severe deficiencies in many essential trace minerals, such as Silica. When applied topically, Silica, Zinc and Sulfur greatly improved her skin and contributed to the regulation of her nervous system, instantaneously. This inspired Chiara to begin experimenting with mixing skincare products. Knowing she would only want the most pure, clean and sustainably sourced ingredients for her own topical use, she began mixing with the highest caliber of organic ingredients she could find, and infusing them with trace minerals.

 

When she began to see incredible results aesthetically and to feel not only better, but more integrated, grounded and clear, she began perfecting the formula.

 

The incorporation of Astrology into her product struck like lightning when she remembered a text she had read years prior, "The Salts of Salvation" by Carey and Perry. This text on medical astrolgy allocated the twelve Shuessler Homeopathic Cell Salts amongst the signs of the Zodiac. As Silica had become a form of almost mineral salvation and inspiration for Chiara during this plutonian time, and as she remembered that this sacred mineral corresponded with her sun sign, Sagittarius, it made perfect sense for her to individuate the serum via a mineral distinction for each Zodiac sign.

 

Hence was birthed Cosmic Tonics. It is Chiara's healing contribution to the world's skincare via a daily ritual of self-love and soul-care.
